These include links to research papers and to practical ideas for supporting wellbeing and reading. Animal welfare charities are included where they provide ideas to support children's learning and promote animal welfare concurrently.

Animal Welfare, Literacy and Learning

This section shares educational links about respecting animals and caring for pets in a fun and motivating way.

The PDSA Education Centre provides free resources which support children's literacy development, as well as wellbeing for children and animals alike.

Reading to Dogs and Therapy Animals

These organisations provide information about animal-assisted interventions, and may provide dogs for reading to dogs programmes.

The Canine Concern Scotland Trust (CCST) is a charity which aims to provide education about the relationships between humans and dogs.  CCST provides a volunteer Therapist service.
